Configuring TELNET access

§      Enable Telnet:

        [H3C] telnet server enable

        By default, the Telnet service is enabled. 

§      Enter one or multiple VTY user interface views:

        [H3C-ui-vty0-4]user-interface vty 0 4

§      Specify the password authentication mode:

        [H3C-ui-vty0-4]authentication-mode password

        By default, authentication mode for VTY user interfaces is password. 

§      Set the local password:

        [H3C-ui-vty0-4]set authentication password { cipher | simple } password
   
        By default, no local password is set. 

§      Configure the user privilege level for login users:

        [H3C-ui-vty0-4]user privilege level level
   
        This value is 0 by default.
